Stalled on the tracks: the CTA's budget crisis

CTA Series Logo
A WNUR News 5-part special report

Originally aired in Spring 2005

The proposed CTA budget cuts in 2006 would have had a major effect on both the city of Evanston and the Northwestern University campus, not to mention the city of Chicago at large. WNUR News took an in-depth look at the cuts and their effect on you.

Our five-part series aired between April 25, 2005 and April 29, 2005, on the WNUR Evening News at 5 PM (one part ran on the morning news due to a sports preemption). It also aired in its entirety on the May 1st edition of WNUR News Weekend.
